Sonex acoustic foam is probably the most widely used acoustic treatment in the world, seen everywhere from mastering studios, voiceover booths, broadcast applications etc. as well as acoustic treatment of industrial and manufacturing environments. Sonex is an anechoic wedge profile that consists of a contoured profile of peaks and valleys, designed to absorb noise by absorbing the kinetic energy of sound waves. With a surface area up to four times that of a flat surface, Sonex collects noise from all angles, deflecting and directing it deep into the acoustic foam. Sonex acoustic foam is available in thicknesses up to 100mm, the thicker the foam, the lower the frequencies that will be absorbed.
Sonex acoustic panels are available in regular polyurethane or lightweight melamine-based WILLTEC. WILLTEC is a Class 1 fire rated material which meets stringent building and construction codes, the ideal choice for commercial installations or installations in public areas.
